ABSTRACT
Cities are often challenged with their fiscal inability to maintain and improve infrastructure and community services. This problem is directly related to the revenue generated from each parcel of land. This analysis showcases that some land-use patterns and regulations supporting some specific types of uses and land patterns have a magnifying effect on city revenue. Since land is the most valuable asset of the city, its proportional value per area (acre) will be the most accurate representation of the values per parcel that the city is able to transform into financial revenue. Often, the correlation between land-use diversity of an area and the financial gain to the city is direct. This analysis aims to provide cities with the tools and mechanisms to support sustainable and resilient neighborhoods.
